The last few weeks I have been holding on to God's presence and just knowing that his peace surrounds me each day has been my focus. Losing a close friend almost a month ago has really opened my eyes to a lot of things and one thing that I know for sure is that God's presence is there to comfort us. As I pray for my friend and the kids each day for comfort and for God's continued grace to surround them, I am also comforted in the prayers. I am constantly in AWE of God's unconditional love during those darkest moments. God has truly revealed his presence in so many ways, through conversations that I have with my friend about her losing her husband and seeing how God is carrying her and the kids through and how praise & worship brings her that perfect peace. He reveals himself through his word and through prayer and everyday experiences.
One verse that I have held on to for the last few years is out of Deuteronomy 31:6; Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
"God's presence is with us and he is forever reminding us of his goodness, amidst of our darkest moments."
