This week has been one of those weeks that I have had to dig deep inside to pull myself together and seriously FOCUS on the things that are important. God has revealed himself to me yet again and this time in away that has allowed me to just be still in my thoughts and push forward and do what he ask of me. I am led to end this week with a big fat Coffee & Words post. Self worth is a scary topic for many women and brings on all sorts of anxiety. That anxiety that comes with the huge lump in your throat that won't go way any time you try to step out and do what God is wanting you to do. That anxiety that allows FEAR to creep in!!
Fear then brings questions of self doubt. Am I worthy of life, Am I worthy of being a mom, Am I worthy of marriage, Am I worthy of a successful career, Am I worthy of feeling beautiful, Am I worthy of the truth, Am I worthy of love, Am I worthy of growth, Am I worthy of healthy friendships, Am I worthy of stepping out of my comfort zone and walking in faith, Am I worthy of even finding my purpose????
When it comes to self worth we are so critical of ourselves and it completely brings us to a place of stillness in our growth and in our faith walk. You should be telling yourself you are worthy of a purposeful life, a life full of joy, a life full of happiness, a life of peace.. Because God said so!
In 1 Peter 3:4 it reads; "Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." This scripture truly speaks to me, God knows our worth and loves us no matter what. Knowing you are worthy in his eyes, is enough to get up each day, stand tall and live out your calling..
