Hello "38"

So blessed to wake up this morning too see "38"!! It's amazing to think when I turned 25 I stayed in bed all day wondering what I was suppose to be doing  with my life (what a waste). To waking up this morning with so much joy in my heart and craving more of all the good God has in store. Oh the growth that God has brought me over the years!!!

I am reminded today of all that God builds us up to be for his Glory. We are not designed for lazy, we are not designed for worry, he has a purpose for each of us and that purpose is made known to us at some point in our lives. It's up to us to grab a hold of it and SHINE!

Hello 35

As I got out of bed this morning, I was over flowing with joy, but at the same time feeling a bit sad.  Not only is it my 35th birthday, my big boy is off to 2nd grade. He was so proud to go to school and it made me even more proud to be his mom.  

I realize life some times brings those emotions of joy and sadness all at the same time and those are the times that we just cherish every bit of what is coming our way. I have so much to be grateful for and turning another year older really allows me to look back and smile, about all the beautiful things in life that God has blessed me with.. My loving husband, kids, family, wonderful friends, being able to do what I love on a daily, joy and peace in my heart and most of all the ability to be loved and to0 love back. Here's to 35!

 Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  -11 Corinthians 4:16

Birthday Weekend

My week has been one of focusing on enjoying the last week of summer with my boys before it's back to school on Monday. After a week of mommy overload, I am so looking forward to celebrating my "34th" birthday this weekend.  Life is so good; God has truly blessed me in so many ways and opened my eyes to so many new and exciting things in the last year. I am so grateful!


I'm starting the weekend off with a date night with the hubs and then its girl time tomorrow with a surprise girls night planned by two of my lovely girlfriends.

Purple Birthday Shoes

Since purple is one of my favorite colors, yesterday I went out looking for a pair of purple shoes for this weekend (which is my birthday weekend).  I definitely didn't want to break the bank so I did a little bargain shopping and stumbled upon these babies for $30.00.  I am so excited I just had to share...  I will be pairing them with a short purple dress, accented with gold jewelry and thinking about adding a nice little flower clip on to the shoes to give them some fabulousness!

My Birthday Wish List

August for me marks the closiness of fall(looking forward to cooler weather), and it's always full of birthday fun! I will be "34" on August 20th(can you tell I don't mind telling my age). I am turning another year wiser!
