Airplanes & Balloons Party

On Sunday we celebrated my baby boys first birthday! It was a great day full of lots of laughs, and fun . The theme was "Time Flies" with airplanes & balloons...

It all started with this handcrafted airplane invitation...

We wanted Zane's cake to be the focal point of the party....

The kiddos left with balloons and airplane goodie bags.......

Balloons greeted the kiddos at the door....... As you can tell Zane was amazed.

I love the striped straws for any party......

The Chocolate Dipped Oreo Pops were oh so YUMMY!

The fruit cones were a HIT!

I hope your Monday is off to a great start! I started my day taking care of my sick boys and hubs, a long with a long to do list, of course the to do list is still on hold, most of it anyway.

I did manage to finish up my baby boys 1st birthday party invites and get some of them delivered.  I thought I would share these simple Airplane invites with you. I will share better photos soon...

Bee Party Inspired

A fellow mom and the owner of Favor Cakes by Erica, was kind enough to share photos of her baby girls 1 yr BEE Day party dessert table. I truly fell in love with the black & white polka dotted fabric and all the little paper details..

Thanks for sharing Erica!!

Erica Shares Details:

Some of the food items I used to coincide with the bee theme were Bit-O-Honey candies, honey butter popcorn, HoneyCombs cereal, and yellow frosted cupcakes sprinkled with oreo cookie crumbs.

I'm very proud that my dessert table was put together on a small budget. The flower arrangements and black buckets were purchased at Dollar Tree. The polka dot table runner was actually wrapping paper from Target. My white/black polka dot cups and yellow baskets with the handles were also courtesy of Target for under $2 each. All of the coordinating plates, cups, and even the cupcakes were from Wal-Mart.

Lastly, my cupcake toppers and banner were from the Itty Bitty Bee Party printables that I purchased from an adorable Etsy shop called Parties by Hardie.

Sydney Turns 3

A few weeks ago I posted birthday inspiration for one of my good friends daughter's 3rd birthday party.  Sydney turned 3 and we pulled off a polka dotted party with a lollipop twist.  The party was decorated with colored lanterns hung from the ceiling & tables covered in polka dot fabrics.  Sydney definitely dressed the part with a polka dotted dress and a pink hat to match!  The kiddos decorated cookies on a stick, made candy necklaces and left with lots of sweet goodies!

Sneak Peek.......

A couple of weeks ago I shared some cute lollipop birthday party invitations HERE.  I thought it would be nice to give you a sneak peek of the mini candy display that I am prepping  for the bday party coming up this weekend.  I will share full details of the party next week!
