My Home: Dining Room Photo Shoot

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to play a little bit in my dining room for a fun photo shoot with the lovely Kendra Michelle Photography.

Dressing up my farm table is always exciting for me, especially with a little black and white striped detail and a simple floral centerpiece with added greenery from my backyard. With this shoot I really wanted to highlight my lovely Farrow & Ball wallpaper from Wallpaper Direct.  When I decided to add this accent wallpaper to my dining room, I was holding my breath, because I wasn't sure if it was going to be to much for the space. After my husband installed it, I instantly fell in love!! Just enough "WOW" for the space!!

Don't be afraid to add that unexpected element to your home, you might just love it!!

Pinned Pretties:: Fall At Home

Today's cooler weather here in Texas seriously made me want to finally light my fall candles and actually have a pumpkin spice latte.. I love this time of year, especially being able to add that simple touch of Fall throughout the home. Hopefully I can get unpacked soon and add a few simple Fall details in my home, like these lovely photos.  How do you add that touch of fall in your home??

COLOR HIGH

I don't know about you but when it comes to Monday, I need a boost of something else besides coffee to get me going. Today these images leave me on a color high. The perfect shades in all the right places..

Stump It Up

My love for wood stumps has grown even more. One of my talented artist friends Jessica Stone is truly putting her creativity to work with wood.  Recently she started making stumps, which can be used as a stool or an end table. I have one on order and I'm looking forward to adding it to my decor. You can see more of Jessica's artwork HERE.

Note from artist: I created this piece by eliminating bark, but left some on to have a lot of variation in texture and shade. Then, I sanded everything down. I added a greenish blue stain to part of the top and sanded that down. I stained and added bun feet. Then, I varnished everything. This can be a stool or table. Approximately 17 1/4 H x 12 1/4 w.

There is just something about these green chairs that makes me want to redesign my dining room.
