Floral Matters:: Add A Touch Of Spring

Hello Ladies!! Rebecca here with our first Floral Matters of 2014. Even though we are still officially in Winter, you can add a touch of spring to your home with simple flowers.

Visit your local grocery store and pick up a few bunches of flowers and make a beautiful masterpiece. I chose yellow tulips, yellow spider mums, orange lilies, pink asters, and greens.

What to do!!
  1. Take your flowers out of packaging and trim away the bottom leaves on the stems. Grab a simple vase and add fresh water and flower food.
  2. Start arranging flowers  by adding your greens first. You will probably need to cut down the greens just a bit. Adding the greens first will allow for your other flowers to stay positioned where you put them. Starting with a triangle I positioned the tulips, and then added orange lilies between the tulips. In the middle of the arrangement positioned at a higher point add another stem of orange lily.
  3. Next add the spider mums and then fill out with the pink asters.I personally like a little different finish or personal touch. I added the bare grass asymmetrically and added a touch of curly willow.

Floral Matters:: 6 Fall Flower Arrangements

Hello Ladies! Rebecca here with six ways to display your Fall flowers.  As a florist I am always looking for unique ways to change up my own displays at home and of course get creative for my clients.   It's always nice to add natural elements and this time of year you can go crazy with the use of sticks, leaves, fresh herbs and pumpkins, And don't forget to pull out your old pots and wood boxes to display your arrangements.  These simple Fall arrangements are inspiring me this Fall!

Bright Blooms For Friday

One of my favorite things to have in my home are fresh market flowers, especially to start the weekend..  This week has been one full of clarity and excitement!!  I am hoping to have a weekend with little work, with my final install for a clients home, lots of relaxation and celebrating father's day with my love(I think I might even attempt to cook his favorite dinner).

 Happy Friday Lovelies!!

Tulips & Faith

This week started out really good and then a little disturbing news came towards the end. At least the disturbing news came during a photo shoot with some fabulous Godly women, that kept my emotions from doing a complete one eighty. It's so nice to be surrounded around people that instantly keep you smiling no matter what. I am so blessed to have that in my life and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am going into the weekend grateful, positive and a clear mind, knowing God is in control of every situation.

My plans are to paint some furniture for a clients house and also tackle some weekend projects of my own.  Do you have big plans for the weekend?

I'll take tulips on any given day!!
These were perfect for this weeks Mother's Day shoot.
Walking in complete faith, brings NO FEAR!
I refuse to let fear get in my way!

Inspired By Floral & Stripes

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you are having a great start to your week!! It's been a little hard for me to get going this week with all the sniffling & sneezing  I've been doing for the last couple of days.  Hot herbal tea & honey have been my best friend that's for sure.

Over the weekend I did a little browsing and shopping with a couple of girlfriends and realized lately I have been drawn to floral patterns and stripes. The combo is just perfect together and truly makes a statement! Especially for the spring!!

I want this skirt!
