Pocket Full Of Love

I was really excited about doing this post!!! I don't know about you, but I love to help others, and the gift of giving is one that last forever. I always pray for continued blessings so that I can bless others more. That being said, I know you are wondering what Pocket Full Of Love is? Read below to find out what pocketfulloflove is all about.

What is Pocket Full Of Love?
Families of deployed or deploying soldiers receive donated photography sessions from people like you and me. The photographer shoots a full family session, edits the images and creates pocket sized books for the soldier, their family, and the person who donated the full session*. The pocket sized books (hence the name pocketfullofLOVE) are designed to fit into the solders uniform or flack vest- so that at any time our soldiers can have a reminder of their lifeline... what they fight to defend... their family & our way of life.

Where did this begin?
In the heart of a military wife. As a photographer and military wife, i long to give what i treasure most in the world, love captured through photography. I have wracked my brain for a few years now trying to figure out a way to bridge the gap between military families and those that want to support our troops. when my husband was in Iraq i sent box after box of anything & everything i could think of... soap, snacks, gum, books, music, more snacks, card games... you name it, i sent it. i would have sent ANYTHING if i thought it would make the time away easier. One day i decided to create my husband a book. A pocketfullofLOVE. i sent it his way & he LOVED IT. of all the things i packed up and sent to the desert... that was the one thing he treasured most. he looked at it everyday. he still has it. he still loves it. so, i was thinking- i wish there was a way for families to get to enjoy a "real" photography session... you know, with a photographer that captures you as you are... not as you sit in front of the poorly painted backdrop. a special time cut out for them to feel like kings and queens to have their story told in BEAUTIFUL photographs that will serve as comfort and peace during deployments and time away, and be enjoyed for generations to come!then it came to me- though tall, the order can be filled. if everyone pitches in. so, if i give the world an opportunity to join in the giving... they will be blessed for giving, more people will be reached, and more soldiers will receive this gift!
