Crazy for Gold

Happy Monday!  Today is one of those days, that I could just curl up with my blanket and watch movies by the fire, which is what I did most of the weekend. With the temps in the 30's here in the Austin area, what more should a girl do, especially with an open weekend(which doesn't happen that often). 

 

Today I am pulling this gold inspiration board from our archives, since I am still a dreaming in Gold, even a year later. We are thinking in gold for the Holidays and just can't get enough.. I'll take Gold whatever right now!!  How about you?

Inspired By This: Gold Office

My sweet friend and Austin wedding photographer Shayln Nelson revealed her gorgeous office on her blog So Shay yesterday. The gold and white striped wall and fabulous gold chandelier make this office oh, so fancy! Not to mention the lovely prints and pops of pink through out, along with the chalkboard wall. What's not to like about this space!

Color Inspired: Magenta + Gold

This inspiration was inspired by Elizabeth Messina's  fabulous image of the bride with the sparkler. Paired with magenta and gold and the inspiration is endless. I could truly go crazy with this color combo!  Magenta & Gold is such a lush color pallete and I am loving it!

Pink & Gold Wedding Shoot

Over the summer I had the pleasure of working with my sweet friend and talented photographer Shalyn Nelson on an end of summer wedding shoot(recently featured on Wedding Chicks).  

This was one of my favorite shoots for sure, Pink & Gold is such a happy color combo to work with. The woodsy back drop of nature set the mood for this shoot and allowed for the perfect setting on a warm summer evening.  The gold sparkle linens that I picked up from Hobby Lobby and the one of a kind handmade place cards and invitations by Shalyn added a nice touch.  Along with all the beautiful pops of pinks in the florals.
